Hello, April. We are SO happy you have arrived. It was the most beautiful weekend here, in Greenville.
Now, that the weather has decided to cooperate, I have started running again, and have officially signed up for the Mountains to Main Street 1/2 Marathon on May 20th…if anyone wants to join me in training last minute…or just keep me accountable and make sure I am running, come on! I tend to not “train” so well for races, but regardless, I am super excited! Running through Greenville in the Springtime truly reminds me how much I love this city and it’s beauty.
I took this picture on my run Friday morning at Falls Park.
Friday afternoon, I hit up Vann & Liv for the Lemonade Stand trunk show with Egg by Susan Lazar and cannot wait to share the boys’ new outfits with you soon!
I plan to do a little photo shoot with them when we have some time in the next week or so (fingers crossed for cooperation). But we racked up on some adorable outfits! Here is a sneak peak of some of our favorites!
Summer Plaid Shirt & Romper | Oscar plaid romper |French Terry Stripe Romper | “Dude” tee
Saturday, April 1st, was my sister, Meredith’s, birthday! We had lunch with all the kiddos at Grill Marks for some of the best burgers and shakes in town….and it was a beautiful day for a couple of milkshakes 🙂
Saturday night, we went to her favorite sushi restaurant, Purple. We truly think it is the best sushi in Greenville. I love all of the sushi restaurants downtown for their atmosphere, but Purple simply has the best sushi rolls. My favorite rolls currently are the Fiji Roll, the Kohaku Roll, and the Cherry Blossom. The restaurant is a little on the small side and is relatively quiet, so makes for a good date night…we may or may not have been the large, rowdy party there on Saturday night.
seen below: Fiji Roll {spicy crab, avocado, topped with tuna and mango}, Kohaku Roll {spicy tuna roll topped with tun and yellowtail}, Orange Blossom {tuna, avocado, topped with salmon and masago}
Escape Rooms
After dinner, we went to Breakout for some escape room fun. If you haven’t tried any of the escape rooms in Greenville, you definitely should! They are so much fun! We have been to Breakout and Escape Artist, both located downtown in the N. Main area. The whole idea behind the escape rooms is that it is a game where you have 1 hour to break out of a room, cracking codes, solving riddles, and finding clues. Even if you don’t like “puzzles” or “mysteries”, give it a shot, you will probably surprise yourself.
At Breakout, we did the “Musuem Heist” room and barely made it, with an escape time of 59 minutes, 11 seconds, but we made it.
We went to Escape Artist Greenville a few months ago and did Dr. Fratelli’s Cabin, and broke out, again, with little time to spare, but again, so much fun!
These games are a lot of fun to do for team building or just for fun with friends!
Sunday
On Sunday, we had brunch after church at Willy Taco and I got my favorite salad, the Grilled Wedge, with grilled cilantro lime shrimp! Soo good!
…and Grayson modeled his adorable @inletsmockedclothingco Easter Bunny Bubble.
We were so thankful for the beautiful weather this weekend, because my boys NEEDED to get out of the house (or maybe I just needed them out of the house…but either way)! Lots of park and front yard play for these boys.
The following pictures describe Grayson and his best friend, Grady’s friendship/personalities perfectly.

Happy Monday, friends! Hope your week is starting off bright!
