Friday Florals on a Monday

Friday Night Vino & Van Gogh

By no means are art classes a new trend, but in the past few years, Vino & Van Gogh has truly stepped up their game, with some really awesome local artists teaching through some of their own beautiful paintings.  I dabble in and out of having art as a hobby and it’s so great to have a good excuse to get out with your girlfriends and paint over a glass of wine.

This is the 3rd class that I have taken with Brooke Ring, and there is a reason I keep going back for more.  First of all, she is incredibly sweet, super talented, and a great teacher.  Classes with her are a lot of fun, and every time I have been very happy with my end product and actually hung them in my house instead of throwing it in a closet or the trash.  One of my favorite things about these classes is how different and beautiful everyone’s paintings end up.

These are 2 previous pieces I did in classes with Brooke.

Recently I heard someone say “I’m not a writer, but that doesn’t mean I can’t write a book.  I’m not an artist, but it doesn’t mean that I can’t paint….” You get the point.  You literally could go on, and on, and on.  It’s really cool to just explore our potential and creativity!

Here are some shots from our class with Brooke, painting one of her beautiful floral pieces on Friday night at Vino & Van Gogh.

Be sure to check out Brooke’s work on her website or instagram.  I have a few of her paintings that I will share in a future post!

And if you haven’t tried a class at Vino & Van Gogh, check out their schedule!

HAPPY MONDAY!!
