Mother’s Day is less than a month away! I am not really sure where the month of April went, but here we are with May approaching us quickly. Now, I don’t necessarily expect anything big for Mother’s Day, but it’s always nice to make a wishlist and get some ideas for what to give my mom and mother-in-law. I honestly am usually pretty happy with a thoughtful card and some flowers….and maybe a planned lunch or dinner…..and obviously any gift is always a bonus! And after saying all of that, I will start my list with my favorite Mother’s Day gift so far….and it’s a big one, hence my favorite.
Initial Necklaces
If you are a momma, you probably have some kind of necklace with your child’s monogram, initial, or birthday on it. I know, I know…it can be cheesy, but it is just too sweet of a reminder that they are always with us, whether we are at work, on vacation, etc… I wear mine every single day.
After we had Crawford, Nelson got me a “C” gold hammered bar necklace by Jill Massey.
I LOVED this necklace and wore it everyday, but once we had Grayson, I needed something that I could have multiple initials on, and honestly wanted something that would be easy to add on to, just in case we had any more children. That way, I wouldn’t have to buy a new necklace for each child. I found this amazing necklace by Leandra Hill and fell in love with it. It was perfect – and for now I have all “my boys'” letters around my neck, including my husband.
Leandra makes amazing jewelry. You can’t go wrong with any of her pieces. These studs are on my wishlist.
Comfy PJs
I’ve said it before, but you really can’t go wrong with Lake PJs. There aren’t many clothes on my list simply because I like to shop and buy those for myself. However, sometimes “splurge-worthy” items are so much better when given as gifts. So many options available, but the shorts set is my favorite, and under $100.
I am loving their new “citrus” line. May need to add this amazing tank-short set to my collection. Perfect for Summer!
Workout Gift Card
Gift Card to Yoga, CycleBar, or her favorite place to sweat- this may not be for EVERY momma, but for those that love to sweat and work out, this is a great gift and reward for a momma to have some “ME” time.
Just a few of my current faves:
Zanti Power Yoga |Madabolic Greenville | Cyclebar Greenville
Candles
Most girls love a good candle. And you literally can’t have enough. I mean, they are going to burn out eventually and you are going to have to replace them, so you might as well stock up. Bonus if they are pretty and double as a decoration. There are two of my faves.
The Bamboo is one of my favorite scents- very fresh, with a little bit of citrus and a touch of floral.
Staple household candle. The best year-round scent.
Pots & Trinkets
Again, this is just one of those items that I don’t typically buy for myself, but I love for around the house. Functional & decorative. Win.
Terracotta Pot |Ring Dish | Trinket Dish
Mini Art
Go big if you want to…but these pieces of mini art are beautiful, affordable, and easy to find a place for in your home, for sure. These are just 3 of my favorite local artists.
Love the colors in this beautiful sailboat mini!
A “mini oil landscape” or one of her “Angels of Hope” would be perfect for Mother’s Day!
Marquin does some of my favorite abstracts and this sailboat series is her newest work. So cool!
Bold Jewelry
If you know your lady’s style, bold jewelry is a fun way to go. My current favorite pop of color is Audrey Allman Designs, and Savvy is having a trunk show featuring her right now, so a great time to snag some in the next few days for 15% off!
I love the Bangkok necklace!
These earrings are on my wishlist. I love the long tassels.
Well, there is a little head start for Mother’s Day ideas!
Happy Thursday…ALMOST THE WEEKEND!!!! (YIKES- we have a 3 year old birthday party on Saturday! So much to do!)
