One of the only reasons I wasn’t too upset that I had gotten rid of everything after the boys, was that I got to start over with decorating a sweet girl’s nursery for Baby Bennett. Surprisingly I still had the black Jenny Lind crib from the boys’ nurseries, but that was it, so I was starting from scratch, and it was fun!
My initial vision for her nursery was slightly muted with soft colors, think blush, clay, soft tans and grays. But that all changed when I saw these Kim Hassold pillows. They were the very first item I bought for her nursery and they set the tone for a colorful, fun room for my baby girl.
I have always had a bed in my nurseries alongside the crib. Did I ever sleep in it? No. But, it was really nice to have a bed in there just in case I needed to or if we needed to use their room for guests. Plus, that bed eventually became their big boy bed, so it worked out. Due to the layout of Bennett’s room, I had decided on a day bed, and fell in love with this beautiful one from PB Teen!
I absolutely love sitting in this magical space with Bennett, whether it’s rocking her by the window staring at her beautiful Kiah Bellows piece above her crib or playing on the floor with her. It is such a sweet space that I can’t wait for her to grow in to.
A little sneak peek into her very own bathroom. We added some feminine touches by switching out the vanity lights to these pretty globes and adding some pops of pink with Weezie hand towels and a bikini print by Dorothy Shain.
