First of all..this watch! It has been the most pleasant surprise. I’ll admit, I thought I was DONE with “real watches” once I got my Apple Watch earlier this year, but that all recently changed when I got this pretty Jord wooden watch. Ok, now can we also talk about our Family pics for our Christmas card?? We did them Saturday morning, which is literally the only weekend we had to do them due to our busy schedules and our photographer’s availability. Unfortunately, Saturday morning was windy and freezing cold, but for the sake of a Christmas card picture, we pushed through, even with me in this beautiful lace top and G in his bubble and knee high socks 🙂 To say we were “cold”, is a HUGE understatement.
Not gonna lie, it was the least successful photo shoot our family has had, but really what can you expect from 2 toddlers wearing minimal clothes in 40 degree weather (that really felt like 20)? I did LOVE our outfits and surprisingly we came out with a great picture for our Christmas Card! And I must state the disclaimer that the failure of this photo session was based solely on the weather, and our photographer was so good that even amidst the challenging weather, she was able to get a great shop of all 4 of us looking at the camera and smiling for our Christmas Card! Hallelujah!

And for comical relief…here are some outtakes. It was a struggle to get poor Crawford to take the blanket off, he is a bit cold natured and hates being cold, poor thing! Grayson, with his bare legs, was a champ, but wasn’t necessarily giggling and smiling and being his happy self…just subdued and cold!
Gotta love that windblown look! I wasn’t lying about poor Crawford…cuddled in the blanket until we bribed him with hot chocolate for ONE smile!

Well…we tried! And thankfully Wonderlight Photography pulled through with at least one picture for our Christmas Cards! If it hadn’t been for our busy schedules, we probably would have rescheduled to a warmer time in the day or another weekend, but gosh guys, Christmas is around the corner, so cold, miserable photo shoot it is! Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!
