Friday
For lunch on Friday, I met 2 friends at Pomegranate on Main. Pomegranate is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Greenville, but I had never been for lunch, and unfortunately had to take the boys to swim lessons afterwards, so had to skip out on the oh so delicious Pomegranate Margarita. I was really tempted to try one of their wraps, but I stuck to the tried and true kabobs, because I love them so much, especially the basmati cranberry rice! They make such a beautiful, colorful plate.
After swim lessons, I went to Target with the boys…therefore, I don’t have actual pictures for you, since taking 2 toddlers to Target is a terrible idea to begin with. Honestly, they were pretty good, but taking real pictures would have been a little ambitious. I went to Target specifically to get these PJs that are on clearance…they are AMAZING and so cheap! They are only $19.99 originally and are on clearance right now in store for $14.99! Available in more prints too!
This is what happens in the dressing room with 2 toddlers. HAHA!

Saturday
Saturday morning, we stopped at Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery on the way to the pool. Our purpose of stopping was simply for a latté, but Nelson knows me better than that. He knows I cannot walk out of this place without some sort of pastry. There was quite a display and variety of options Saturday morning. If you haven’t tried one of their homemade Pop-Tarts yet, you NEED to!
Even though it was overcast all morning, we had a blast at the pool with our buddies.
Look at all of the sweet kiddos in their Beaufort Bonnet matching sibling sets, which was totally unplanned!
Saturday night, we had a parents night out! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great and it rained most of the night, but that didn’t stop us from packing in as much as we could for date night! We started the night at Sip for a drink and then headed downstairs to Sassafras Southern Bistro for dinner. Sassafras is a Greenville staple restaurant and you can always depend on them for a good, hearty meal. The table shared the Pimento Cheese Fondue which disappeared quickly.
I typically go with the filet or beef tips, or their spinach salad, but branched out on Saturday and tried the Wasabi Crusted Yellowfin Tuna, served over the creamiest grits and asparagus. It was amazing! Nelson got the Salmon Special, which came on the biggest grit cake I have ever seen. It was super tasty too!
After dinner, we headed to the new Stone Pin Company! It is Greenville’s 1st boutique bowling alley and just so happens to be in our backyard, so we may become regulars here, and I am so excited! There are only 6 lanes, so you will likely have to wait for a lane to open up depending on when you go, but thankfully there is a bar and full menu to help pass the time. We were very pleased to get a lane pretty quickly on Saturday night. I am no bowling expert, but the entire system was easy to use and ran smoothly and efficiently for us. I also love the rustic, industrial decor. They are even open for lunch and offer a “Lunch-n-bowl” special Monday – Friday. What a fun lunch break!
Sunday
If you haven’t tried doughnuts from GB&D, visit The Village Grind on Sunday for some coffee and grab a few! They never cease to amaze me with the creativity of their doughnuts. This week was a Chocolate Ganache doughnut with a cookie on top, and a Peach Glaze donut. As “out of the box” as some of them seem, I have never tried one that I didn’t like!
ALSO – Did everyone else know that Season 5 of both Orange is the New Black AND House of Cards is now up on Netflix! I’m a little late to the game, since they were released a few weeks ago, but I am so pumped, especially since there is NOTHING to watch in the Summer!
Happy Monday!
