We had a fun, fun weekend celebrating our “Daddy”! Friday night we grabbed a delicious burger from the Chuck Truck (parked at Community Tap every Friday). There is a reason why they are called the “Chuck Truck”, they serve a dang good burger. My favorite is the Caprese Burger and Nelson usually goes with the Black and Blue or the Pimento Cheese Burger. We laid low at the house for the rest of the evening, with happy and full bellies.
We started out Saturday at one of Daddy’s favorite breakfast spots, good ole’ Waffle House.
Then, I headed to get my workout in for the day. I tried something NEW and oh so fun Saturday morning. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, don’t shy away from trying something new because you are scared you will look foolish or you “can’t do it”, I promise you will miss out on some good smiles and laughter. I went to Adrenaline Dance Fitness with a friend to Megan’s Hip Hop class at 9:30 and had a blast shaking it to some of my favorite hip hop tunes. Honestly, the room is pretty dark and everyone is watching the instructor to know what move to do next, so NO ONE is watching you or worrying what you look like, so it’s so fun! Plus, it was a GREAT workout. My legs were on FIRE and I was dripping sweat. LOVED IT!
If you like to dance at all, you need to check one of these classes out! I am more than HAPPY to go with you and am super excited to go back and try some more. Plus, classes are pretty inexpensive at $8/class!
Saturday afternoon, we headed to Lake Bowen to hang out with my dad for Father’s Day.
Takes after his dad and is very comfortable behind the wheel of a boat…or plane…if only we owned one of those ourselves. HAHA!
The boys had a blast at the lake and nothing beats an evening boat ride with this view.
Sunday morning routine per Crawford: pictures on our front porch steps. I have trained my boy well, seeing that I LOVE to take pictures and have asked him constantly his entire life. Thank goodness he is finally catching on, and it helps for the obligatory holiday pictures. Hopefully Grayson will comply soon! It is difficult to get that little one to sit still for more than 10 seconds.
What I wore on Father’s Day: One of my all-time favorite dresses! Available on SUPER SALE here! I am wearing an XS.
After church and brunch, we headed to Lake Keowee to hang out with Nelson’s family. It was a quick trip, but we had a great time!
Hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Monday!!
