Talking about Dads today. Why we love them, why they deserve not just a day, but so much more, and great gift ideas for this upcoming Sunday!
10. Dads love to get dirty. They don’t mind a mess. And sometimes they initiate getting messy.
9. Dads love to drive. Or atleast they are always willing to be in control of the family in the car and/or they don’t trust their wife to drive. Regardless, thank goodness for this one!)
8. Dads can fix lot of stuff. Even if it isn’t around the house, there are things that they just fix and make better.
7. Dads are strong. They can carry a cooler, a heavy duffle bag, and 2 toddlers all at once and not complain about it.

Every guy needs one, especially dads. I am a huge fan. My husband only has one and has been wearing it on repeat this summer…aka he needs another one!

For scotch or bourbon…or whatever their liking. My husband loves a good glass and although these cool glasses don’t have “Greenville” as one of their cities, they are super cool and you could pick one of your favorite cities y’all have visited together. (add in a bottle of their favorite booze as a bonus)

I realize it is Summer, but my husband wears these every day, any moment he is at home, and in the Winter, he will leave the house wearing them, typically just to the store or to a friend’s house, but he LOVES them!

Yes, the boring, cliché gift for men, but how many of you have a dad or husband with holes in their boxers (or socks) and no matches for their socks? It is an item that most men don’t like to buy for themselves, so a good “add-on” to their “main gift”.

Watch
I have found watches can be hard, unless you know exactly what your husband wants. I just got an Apple Watch for Mother’s Day, and my husband was so tempted to go ahead and buy himself one. He has been quite jealous of mine, so naturally I have thought about getting him one as well. It’s a big gift, but he will LOVE it!
These are always a big hit with men. My husband loves the one I got him for Christmas a few years ago and then I restock a lot of the items in his stocking every year or for little Easter gifts or whatever.
Any gift can be a subtle suggestion for your husband if you want it to be. If you don’t like his shirts, give him more shirts YOU like. If you want him to start taking care of his skin, give him sunscreen and face lotion. Again, if your husband is like mine, he does not shop for himself, so he is happy to get anything. I love getting him things that he would never buy for himself, but then he really appreciates it. It may be something he never knew he needed until he started using it or wearing it!
Lots of ideas and ways to show the dads in your lives just a little bit of the love that you have for them. I plan on the boys making him a little homemade card, thanks to Pinterest and giving “him” these Old Navy PJs as well, which are really for the boys, but oh so cute!
