This weekend we loaded the kids up in the car and headed to Wrightsville Beach to visit a good friend from college and her family. Our friends, The Beavins made the trip as well, so it made for a full house and fun-filled reunion weekend!
I have been to Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach numerous times over the years to visit her, and have had a blast every single time, and this time was no exception. Even with 4 kids in tow, we still managed to have the BEST time!
Big G and Lil’ G
The boys fighting over sweet Evie! We are so excited to finally have a baby girl in our group of friends from College.
Friday night was low-key, but on Saturday we headed to the beach in the morning with all the kiddos for a few hours.
Evie (9 months), Grayson (16 months), Crawford (3 years), Grady (13 months)

Boy’s Swim: TBBC Tortola Trunks
Obsessed with these adorable matching swim trunks!
My Old Navy Romper & Illesteva Sunnies
Grayson loved stealing Grady’s snack.
And Crawford LOVED playing Frisbee with Dad.
Saturday night, we got a babysitter to watch all of our sweet kiddos so that the parents could go out and catch up with minimal distractions. The girls continued to celebrate #nationalroséday with a Brut Rosé while we got ready. I don’t normally drink Brut Rosé, but this one was delicious and easy to drink.
This same group got together in Wilmington 2 years ago and ALOT has changed since then. This 1st picture is from 2015 and Crawford was there, but not in this picture.
This 2017 weekend…
…with the addition of 3 more children! Things are definitely different, but so much fun!!
All the little boys in their matching Old Navy shark PJs. (now on sale)
First, we went to Palate for a drink, and to listen to some great tunes by Jesse Stockton. We shared a fabulous, inexpensive bottle of Rosé,
What I Wore: This dress. I bought it in the 1st Shopbop sale this year and somehow have let it hang in my closet without wearing it until this weekend, and I am OBSESSED with it! It is super comfy and easy to dress up or down. Fits TTS. I am wearing a small.
Outfit Details: Front Twist Muscle Dress | Twine & Twig Necklace
After drinks, we walked down by the riverwalk to downtown Wilmington, where we had dinner at Yosaké.
The Riverwalk was so beautiful with the sun setting.
I have to brag on Nelson for picking out and ordering this linen shirt for himself. I love it so much! Would make a great Father’s Day gift!
Dinner at Yosaké
The girls got some delicious mojitos (blueberry on the left and pineapple on the right) with some sushi, while the boys got a few different curries.
Spicy Generoll – SO GOOD!
Massaman Curry with Pork
After dinner, we headed upstairs to Dram & Morsel for dessert and drinks. This lemon blueberry pound cake with fresh whipped cream and honey drizzle was delicious!
On Sunday morning, we had the BEST donuts from The Donut Inn, and then we slipped into our bikinis (great idea). We went out on the boat with all the kiddos, and surprisingly it went very smooth! They all had a great time…or nap…but either way the parents were able to have a great time!
Crawford and Grayson both LOVED the boat ride and Crawford is now asking his Daddy every day for a boat. I’m down!
Sweet little boat nappers

Love, love, love visiting friends for the weekend, and it doesn’t hurt when it’s at the beach. Honestly, traveling with the kids wasn’t too bad (because let’s get real, it CAN be bad), but they were tolerable and better behaved than I expected. It made me want to plan more beach trips with them this Summer.
HAPPY MONDAY!!
