Velvet Love

Velvet is already making a strong showing early this season.  You will typically see some velvet closer to the Holidays, but it is EVERYWHERE right now, from the fanciest designer boutiques to Target…in a variety of styles and colors!  This year it isn’t just blouses and dresses, it is being seen HEAD TO TOE…from sneakers, pumps, skinny pants, lounge pants, bags, jackets and more.  Although velvet is a trend, when it comes to something like a luxury fabric, I’d rather go for quality.  If you have felt real, good velvet, you might agree.  Last year, towards the end of Holiday Season, I snagged a beautiful CP Shades velvet button down blouse that I fell in love with.  So, I was super excited to see the trend continue into this year.  With that said, I have also found some really great affordable options as well!  Sharing some of my favorites with you today!

CP Shades Velvet Tunic (sold out but similar here and here!)  // Frame Denim // Madewell Necklace // Jeffrey Campbell booties

I am also OBSESSED with this CP Shades dress, available locally & online at Savvy!  It is a pretty penny, but this velvet is SOOO amazing, soft, and fits well!  Perfect for all season, and especially for Holidays.  Would be so pretty paired with a statement necklace or mixing textures with a plaid scarf or a leather jacket!

If you have been on the fence, step out of your comfort zone and do it! You will not regret it and you will find there are so many different ways to style and wear this trend!  Now if the weather would just get cold and stay cold! (well not cold…because I hate cold weather..but 50-60 degrees would be real nice 😉

Happy Wednesday!
